Message from the President
February 2008
I am Kristin "Kris" Shortess, your 2008 BRCA President. Thanks to our past president , Ron Reibe, for serving for the past 3 years.
In addition to having a new president this year, we've come a long way to get the LCA by- laws updated. In fact, a group of LCA members, including myself, spent an entire weekend working to get the bylaws up to date. Now, LCA is our state organization, and our local organization are all a part of LCA. One goal I have for BRCA this year is to get our local bylaws updated. Thanks to Brent Steir for sending me the most current edition of them.
Don't forget to send in your 2008 dues...go to laclaims.com for the member application-apply on line with a credit card or print the application and send a check to Linda Alwood.
PLEASE REMEMBER OUR MEETINGS ARE THE 2ND WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH - we will alternate between lunch and dinner and location sites in attempts to accomadate our members.
Our 2008 Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday May 5th at Sherwood Forest CC. Thanks to Dene Mathies and Lydia Oberle, our golf tournament chairpersons, who are working diligently to make this year's tournament great.
Volunteers are always needed so if you'd like to get involved with the Association, give me a call. You need not be a member to join a meeting and see and hear what's going on in our industry.
