Message from the President
January 2011
It was a pleasure being the President of the Baton Rouge Claims Association in 2010. In review of our meetings of last year we heard from speakers such as Don Steadman of BREC, Judge Laramore, Attorney Ed Hightower, Rep. Franklin Foil, Attorney Mary Ann Wolfe, Dr. Arnold Feldman, and Dr. Louis Provenza. Our events included a very large turnout in March 2010 for the Crawfish Boil, the Fred Williams BRCA Golf Tournament in June at Greystone Country Club, and the BRCA Christmas Party at Juban’s Restaurant in December.

The BRCA Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The meeting times are either daytime or evening. The times of the meetings are established by the speakers. The time for the evening meetings is 5:30 PM to sign in and then the meeting beginning at 6:00 PM. The daytime meetings will be at 11:30 AM to sign in and the meeting beginning at noon. An e-mail will be sent to you as soon as a speaker and the topic have been provided to us. As last year, we will try to obtain CE hour(s) for those licensed adjusters, RN’s, and NCM’s. January is dues payment time. The registration form is on the LCA web page of www.laclaims.com for joining LCA and the Baton Rouge Claims Association. The LCA Conference will be held June 15-17, 2011 at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS. The benefit of joining LCA as a member is you will receive a discounted registration fee and will be able to acquire CE hours for licensure.
For 2011, the meeting dates and events are posted on our web page. The Board has met and hopes to provide our members with some interesting speakers and social gatherings.
